We have been producing wine in this rich land kissed by the sun, located between the rolling hills and mountains of Canton Ticino since 1981.
Ours is an ancient history, rich in traditions, already described in documents dating back to 1800. Agriloro is more than a winery; it is attachment and respect for nature which, in balance with man, is capable of producing and giving us its wonderful fruits. Through our work we discover every day the wonders of the soil, the air, the light and the work of human hands, capable of giving you a taste of the warmth of our land.

What makes our wine special?

TERROIR
With two estates located in Mendrisiotto, we produce wines exclusively in the Sottoceneri. Tenimento dell'Ör, an ancient wine estate dating back to the 1700s, has an area of 11 hectares of which 9 are vineyards. Tenimento la Prella, purchased in 2002, has an area of 23 hectares of which 12 are vineyards.

CORPORATE PHILOSOPHY
Grazie all'incontro tra il fondatore Meinrad C. Perler e l'agronomo e ricercatore Reiner Zierock nasce la nostra filosofia. Con il giardino ampelografico che ospita 600 fra specie e varietà di vite provenienti da tutto il mondo e la messa a dimora di ben 28 diversi vitigni abbiamo da sempre puntato alla ricerca e sperimentazione con un occhio di riguardo alla vinificazione tradizionale.

RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
In both the cultivation of the vines and winemaking, we try to operate as much as possible using natural and enviromentally respectful methods. The use of a photovoltaic system to save energy and the use of animals in the vineyard are just a few examples of how important the environment is to us.
Meinrad C.Perler
Meinrad C.Perler, founder of Agriloro SA has always had a strong connection with agriculture. From a farming family, born and raised in the canton of Fribourg he moved at the age of 25 to Ticino to pursue a different kind of profession. In 1981 he decided to acquire the "Ör Estate," in the municipality of Arzo, thus returning to his roots. The estate is very old and is already mentioned in eighteenth-century documents as one of the most important vineyards in Mendrisiotto.
