What makes Ticino's Agriloro wine truly special is the attention to detail throughout the production process, from the vineyard to the winery. The vines are grown sustainably, without the use of chemicals, and production is limited to ensure consistent and superior quality. Thanks to all this, Agriloro has earned prestigious international awards.
With two estates located in Mendrisiotto, we produce wines exclusively in the Sottoceneri region. Tenimento dell'Ör, an ancient wine estate dating back to the 1700s, has an area of 11 hectares of which 9 are vineyards. Tenimento la Prella, purchased in 2002, has an area of 23 hectares of which 12 are vineyards.
Through the meeting of founder Meinrad C. Perler and agronomist and researcher Reiner Zierock, our philosophy was born. With the ampelographic garden housing 600 species and varieties of vines from around the world and the planting of as many as 28 different grape varieties, we have always focused on research and experimentation with a focus on traditional winemaking.
Having our own estates and total control of production from harvest to bottling enable us to achieve high quality standards.
In both the cultivation of the vines and winemaking, we try to operate as much as possible using natural and respectful methods. The use of a photovoltaic system to save energy and the use of animals in the vineyard are just a few examples of how important the environment is to us.
